Affirming Therapy for LGBTQ+ and Questioning Adults

As a queer therapist, I help LGBTQ+ and questioning adults navigate life’s challenges so they can build a richer, more authentic future.

Sexual orientation is an important part of who you are. It can influence your relationships, your sense of belonging, and how you connect with the world around you. Whether you’re seeking therapy to address issues directly related to your sexuality or you’re struggling to cope in other areas of your life, you deserve support from someone who understands LGBTQ+ experiences.

My Background & Approach

Explore your identity at your own pace.

Questioning your sexual orientation can be liberating and terrifying. I offer a judgment-free, sex-positive space to explore your identity and its impact on your relationships, self-image, career, and daily life.

Get help with shame and stigma.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and asexual people often carry shame and internalized stigma. Harmful messages from family, religion, media, or society take a toll, leading to self-doubt and low self-esteem. Shrinking or hiding yourself can in turn lead to anxiety, depression, and unhealthy patterns. We’ll explore the root of these painful feelings and focus on finding your self-worth.

Get support for coming out.

Coming out is a lifelong process, and every person experiences it differently. It’s normal to feel fear and even grief alongside joy and relief. Therapy with me can help you process your complex emotions as you navigate whether, when, and how to disclose your identity.

Find relief from depression and anxiety.

LGBTQ+ people experience much higher rates of anxiety and depression than straight cisgender people. And it’s no wonder when fear, isolation, rejection, and trauma get layered on top of everyday problems. I use evidence-based techniques to help my clients find relief from their symptoms.
